AKROTIRI (MV ACHAIOS) SHIPWRECK
This is the MV Achaios shipwreck, also known as the Akrotiri shipwreck.
Achaios M/V was built in 1932 by A/S porsgrunn M/V, and onwed by Akarnania Maritime Co. She was on voyage from Yugoslavia to Jeddah with a cargo of timber. She ran aground in a storm at Akrotiri Peninsula and wrecked. All were saved. Maximum depth is 4 metres. Ideal for snorkeling.
